Ash Boss Fight & The Factory: Into the Abyss – Titanfall 2 – Story Breakdown & Walkthrough

Ash Boss Fight & Escaping the Simulation Dome – Into the Abyss – Titanfall 2 Walkthrough & Story Breakdown

The fourth chapter of Titanfall 2 Into the Abyss, brings a big change in the story for Jack Cooper and BT-7274. At first, you’re still looking for Major Anderson, but the mission soon turns into a tough survival challenge inside a huge IMC factory. This part is important for showing how Cooper and BT’s partnership grows, since Cooper has to handle dangerous situations on his own while BT is kept out of action by the facility’s systems.

Navigating the World Foundry Shortcut

After the tough fight with Kane, Jack Cooper and BT-7274 need a faster way to meet up with Major Anderson. BT recommends a shortcut through the World Foundry, a huge underground IMC factory. As they enter, you can see just how big the IMC’s operation is, with heavy machines and deep shafts showing their power in the area.

As you move through the start of the foundry, Cooper uses the helmet radio he got from Kane to listen in on IMC conversations. This adds tension right away, as you hear Kuben Blisk, the Apex Predators’ leader, telling Ash to stop the “hero” Pilot who’s causing trouble. This moment makes it clear that Ash is the main enemy in this chapter and sets up the tough challenges Cooper will face.

The Separation and BT’s Capture

Things get worse in the foundry when Cooper and BT reach a big cargo elevator. To keep going, Cooper has to leave BT and turn on the lift from a control station. This sets off the facility’s security system, which sees BT-7274 as a “security breach.” Before Cooper can help, a huge mechanical claw grabs BT and pulls him up into the higher parts of the facility.

This is a key moment in the story, as Cooper loses the safety and strength of his Titan. BT can’t escape the strong machinery and is pulled deeper into the facility, so Cooper has to chase after him alone. Without BT, you have to use wall-running, double-jumping, and your combat skills to get through the moving machines. The mission now becomes a fast-paced rescue through the IMC’s production area.

The Surreal Landscapes of the Sideways Town

As Cooper goes after BT, he enters the Assembly Line, which shows just how big the IMC’s plans for colonization are. The factory is making lots of prefabricated houses for the Frontier, but the process looks strange and confusing. Whole houses are turned and moved on huge tracks, making a “sideways” world where walls and ceilings become obstacles. This area gives you a special platforming challenge, as you have to time your moves while the world builds itself around you.

During this part, Ash watches Cooper’s progress using the facility’s sensors and talks to him over the intercom. She doesn’t see Cooper as a real person, just as a test subject in her experiment. Her comments are cold and focused on how a Pilot handles stress in a changing environment. This shows how the IMC sees the Frontier—as something to control and build, with people treated like parts of a big machine.

Survival Within Ash’s Simulation Dome

After the platforming sections, Cooper ends up in a huge, closed-off area called the Simulation Dome. The IMC uses this place to test their weapons and robots in fake planetary settings. When Cooper arrives, Ash makes things harder by letting captured Militia soldiers into the dome. These soldiers are used as bait to see how deadly the IMC’s Spectres and Reapers are, so Cooper has to fight with them to survive.

This fight is a tough live-fire test where Cooper has to battle waves of robot enemies in an area that looks like a real landscape. The action peaks when Ash sends in several Reapers, which are strong, armored robots. After Cooper beats them, Ash is a bit disappointed that her data collection is over. She tries to get rid of Cooper by collapsing the dome, but he finds a way out through a break in the fake sky and escapes into the maintenance tunnels.

The Final Boss Fight Against Ash

As Cooper and BT try to leave the foundry and head to the Research 02 facility, Ash stops them. She shows up in her custom Ronin-class Titan, seeing this last fight as the perfect test for her skills and her machine. The battle happens in a tight industrial area, so you have to handle Ash’s fast moves and her Titan’s powerful shotgun and sword attacks. This fight tests everything you’ve learned about Titan combat so far.

The fight ends with Ash’s clear defeat. In a dramatic finish, BT crushes Ash’s cockpit, putting an end to her threat and experiments. With Ash gone, Cooper and BT can move forward to their next goal. This win leads straight into the next mission, “Effect and Cause,” as they leave the factory behind and get ready to learn more about the IMC’s research on the Ark.
