Slone Boss Fight & Protocol 3: The Fold Weapon – Titanfall 2 – Story Breakdown & Walkthrough

Slone Boss Fight & The Smart Pistol – The Fold Weapon – Titanfall 2 Walkthrough & Story Breakdown

“The Fold Weapon” is the ninth and last mission in Titanfall 2, and it’s the story’s biggest climax. After the dramatic events of “The Ark,” where Jack Cooper is captured and BT-7274 is badly damaged, this chapter brings the conflict to an emotional and action-filled end. The mission focuses on loss, resilience, and the close bond between Pilot and Titan. Players are in a desperate situation, with the Militia’s home world in danger, so every action in this final mission feels important and urgent.

The Interrogation and the Retrieval of the SERE Kit

The mission begins in a dark and tense scene where Jack Cooper is captured by the Apex Predators’ leaders, Kuben Blisk and Slone. Things look bad: BT-7274 is badly damaged and can’t fight back as Blisk demands the Ark, which powers the Fold Weapon. When BT refuses, Slone removes his data core, destroying BT’s body and leaving Cooper alone in the enemy base.

Even as he shuts down, BT-7274 starts a final protocol to help his Pilot. Cooper is told to get the SERE Kit, which stands for Survival, Evasion, Resistance, and Escape, from BT’s remains. Inside, Cooper finds two important items: BT’s AI/Memory Core and the SERE Kit Smart Pistol MK6. With the Smart Pistol’s auto-targeting, Cooper fights through IMC grunts and defenses. This part shows the Pilot’s skill as he makes his way through the facility to the surface.

The Reunion: Restoring BT-7274 in a New Chassis

Once Cooper reaches the surface, he gets a big boost. Commander Sarah Briggs has a new Vanguard-class Titan chassis, FS-1041, dropped in. This turns the mission from a desperate escape into a new attack. Cooper puts BT’s AI core into the new body, bringing the two back together after everything on Typhon.

The restoration goes smoothly, and BT’s new body keeps all his memories and personality. With the strong “Legion” loadout, BT is more powerful than ever and ready for the final fight. Cooper and BT join the Militia in a big attack on the Fold Weapon’s injection facility, showing the teamwork between Pilot and Titan that is central to the game.

The Final Assault on the Injection Facility

Now reunited and fully armed, Cooper and BT lead the attack through heavy IMC defenses protecting the Fold Weapon. The battle grows larger, with Reapers and enemy Titans all around. The Militia helps, but most of the fighting is up to Cooper and BT as they push toward the “injection room,” where the weapon is about to be activated.

The stakes are at their highest: the Fold Weapon is an ancient alien superweapon that can destroy entire planets by warping space-time. The IMC is about to use it on the Militia’s home world, Harmony. The size of the facility shows how dangerous this technology is. As Cooper and BT get closer to the core, they realize they are the only ones who can prevent total destruction.

The Final Battle and the Apex Predators

At the center of the facility, Cooper and BT face Slone, the last Apex Predator. Slone pilots an advanced Ion-class Titan and attacks on sight, leading to a tough final battle. Slone’s Laser Core quickly destroys armor, making this battle a true test of your skills. This is the last challenge from the mercenaries who have chased Cooper and BT, and it’s also payback for BT’s earlier destruction.

After a long and intense fight, Cooper and BT defeat Slone. Then, Kuben Blisk, the mercenary leader, shows up but decides not to kill Cooper. He says his contract with the IMC is over and he has no reason to keep fighting. Blisk tells Cooper he’s “not a hero” and gives him an “Apex Predator” card before leaving. With the mercenaries gone, Cooper faces the final crisis with the Fold Weapon.

The BT-7274 Sacrifice and the Destruction of Typhon

With the mercenaries gone, General Marder starts the weapon’s final countdown. Cooper and BT try to stop the Ark from being injected into the core, but normal sabotage fails. BT realizes the only way to destroy the Fold Weapon is to overload it by detonating his own core. To save Harmony, BT must make the ultimate sacrifice.

In the most emotional part of the mission, BT-7274 overrides Protocol 3, which says to “Protect the Pilot.” Instead of letting Cooper stay, BT throws him to safety across a huge gap. Then, BT and the Ark go into the Fold Weapon’s core. The explosion destroys the weapon and is so strong that it breaks apart the whole planet Typhon. BT’s sacrifice saves Harmony, but Cooper loses his closest friend.

Ending and Epilogue: A Pilot’s Reflection

As Typhon breaks apart, Jack Cooper is rescued in a daring extraction by Commander Sarah Briggs and the 6-4. In the quiet after the battle, Cooper thinks about the journey he shared with BT-7274 and how much the Titan meant to him. For his bravery and for stopping the Fold Weapon, Cooper is promoted to Pilot and joins the elite Marauder Corps. Even with the victory, the mood is bittersweet as Cooper thinks about losing his partner and the bond they shared during the Typhon campaign.

The story ends with a mysterious post-credits scene. Jack’s helmet sits on a desk, and its visor blinks in binary code. When translated, it says “Jack?”, hinting that part of BT’s AI might still be alive in the helmet’s neural link. This detail gives hope that the bond between Pilot and Titan isn’t completely gone, making the ending of “The Fold Weapon” memorable.
