Mafia: The Old Country Walkthrough Chapter 13: Capiregime: Cleaning up Spadaros Rivals

Cleaning Up the Spadaro Holdouts in Chapter 13: Capiregime

Chapter 13 of Mafia: The Old Country opens in the aftermath of Spadaro’s death. With the rival family shattered, Don Torrisi turns his attention to the last remaining captains still loyal to the old regime. Capiregime is a focused cleanup operation that sees Enzo dispose of a body, eliminate three key Spadaro captains one by one, and finally confront the last of them inside a church under the protection of a compromised priest. The chapter mixes quiet body disposal, a stealth infiltration, a chaotic shootout and car chase, and a tense hilltop assault before ending on a personal note that pushes Enzo closer to his planned escape.

Disposing of Ignazio and Returning to the Vineyard

The chapter begins with Enzo forced to deal with Ignazio’s body. We pick up the corpse, carry it outside, and load it into the waiting car with Tino. The drive to the Romano farm is short but heavy. Once we arrive we follow Tino to a freshly dug grave. Tino executes another man named Guido and orders us to dump Ignazio’s body into the same hole. With the evidence buried, we mount a horse and ride back to Villa Torrisi.

At the vineyard we speak with Cesare, who is clearly struggling with Enzo’s rising status, then find Valentina inside. The conversation with her is brief but loaded. Don Torrisi has taken control of the Collezolfo sulfur mine and intends to make Enzo its overseer as a reward for loyalty. The promotion is real, yet it comes with the knowledge that Isabella’s future is being used as leverage in the deal. Time is running out.

Meeting Valerio and the Stealth Kill of Mazzone

We drive out to the forest to meet Valerio, who has tracked the first remaining captain, Dino Mazzone. Near the meeting point the Newspaper: Mafia Crackdown sits on a barrel. After choosing a loadout we cross the road and follow the forest path into Mazzone’s camp.

The camp is lightly guarded but perfect for a pure stealth approach. We take out the first isolated guard, use coins or distractions to peel the men on the bridge away from their positions, and slip through the side paths without raising the alarm. Inside the final building we find Mazzone alone. A silent kill here unlocks the Silent Hunter achievement. Before leaving we collect the Destrezza charm bead and Mazzone’s Letter from the back of the room. With the first captain eliminated we mount a horse and ride to regroup with Cesare.

  • Lore Fact: Capiregime is the Italian term for a mid-level mafia captain who controls a crew of soldiers. In the context of this chapter it reflects both the rank of the men Enzo is hunting and the new position Don Torrisi is preparing to give him at the sulfur mine.

Helping Cesare and the Chase for Caccini

Cesare is already under fire when we arrive. We join the shootout, clear the immediate threats, and push forward until Domizio Caccini attempts to flee in a car. Destroying his vehicle before he can reach the salt flats unlocks the Not So Fast achievement. If the car escapes we are forced into a high-speed chase across the countryside, shooting out the tires or engine until Caccini is stopped. Once he is dead we continue toward the final target.

The Assault on the Church and the Last Captain

Tino waits near the church where the final captain, Matteo Costa, has taken refuge under the protection of Father Ciccone. The approach up the hill is heavily defended by Spadaro holdouts and snipers. We fight our way through the courtyard and barricades, collecting the Newspaper: Police Shootout from a table on the left side of the path, until we reach the church doors.

Inside, Father Ciccone pleads for Costa’s life. Costa eventually steps forward to surrender. Whether we pull the trigger or allow Cesare to do it, the last Spadaro captain dies. Tino then takes the priest away to face judgment for sheltering the enemy. Completing the chapter unlocks the Everything You Deserve achievement.

Celebration at the Bar and the Path to America

That evening Enzo and Cesare celebrate the complete destruction of the Spadaro family at Leo Galante’s bar. After Cesare leaves with company, Leo approaches Enzo privately. In quiet gratitude for the revenge taken on behalf of his grandfather, Leo hands over forged documents that will allow Enzo and Isabella to leave Sicily for America. The chapter ends with the plan for escape now concrete and the weight of everything still ahead.

Chapter 13 of Mafia: The Old Country is a methodical cleanup that removes the last obstacles standing between Don Torrisi and total control of the Valle Dorata, while simultaneously tightening the noose around Enzo’s secret future with Isabella.
