Watch Mafia: The Old Country Gameplay Walkthrough Chapter 6: La Difesa Siciliana | 4K 60FPS PC Ultra Graphics
The story moves ahead to May 1906. After the attack on Ludovici’s estate, Don Torrisi teams up with Don Galante to push back against the Spadaro family’s growing power. Their new plan is to counterfeit U.S. currency, but they need a master forger to pull it off. Their expert, Giuseppe Palminteri, has been arrested, so everything is on hold until he’s rescued. In this chapter, Enzo has to sneak through San Celeste, trading the action of the last mission for a tense stealth and rescue operation.

Finding the Town Hall Informant
Enzo’s first job is to find an informant working for Torrisi who knows where the missing forger is being held. When we get to San Celeste, we don’t have a name, just a clue: look for a Town Hall clerk in a red waistcoat. Walking through the busy market in 4K shows off the detailed clothing and daily life of 1900s Sicily, which really stands out compared to the usual criminal scenes.
After spotting the clerk in the red waistcoat, a quick chat reveals where Giuseppe is being held. The master forger is locked up in the well-guarded jailhouse right behind the Town Hall. Now that we know where he is, Enzo has to keep a low profile and wait for night to break him out.
- Lore Fact: The title of this chapter, “La Difesa Siciliana,” translates to “The Sicilian Defence”. This is a direct reference to one of the most popular and aggressive opening moves in chess, perfectly mirroring Don Torrisi’s calculated, strategic play to counter the Spadaro family’s growing power.

Sneaking into the San Celeste Jailhouse
At night, we meet up with Leo, who creates a big distraction to pull the police away from the station. While chaos breaks out outside, Enzo sneaks into the jailhouse without being seen. Stealth is key here—we move through the dark hallways, using cover and good timing to avoid the guards and keep from setting off an alarm.
We reach the cellblocks and free Giuseppe Palminteri. But the escape gets tricky when L’Ombra, our tough rival from earlier, quietly watches the jailbreak from a nearby cell. Things get even harder when Giuseppe insists on getting his confiscated printing plates before leaving, so we have to go deeper into the jailhouse.

Securing the Plates and Ettore D’Amico
We head deeper into the restricted part of the jailhouse to get the printing plates. Just as we grab them, the tough Police Chief, Ettore D’Amico, catches us. This starts one of the hardest boss fights in the game. D’Amico isn’t like the usual thugs—he’s skilled and disciplined, and the knife fight is really tough.
Even though we try to block his attacks, D’Amico is just too quick and skilled. In an unusual twist for a boss fight, Enzo actually loses. D’Amico wins, leaving Enzo hurt and bleeding. We have to swallow our pride and barely escape the station with our lives and the plates, showing just how dangerous this world is.
- Lore Fact: During this chapter, observant players can spot an arrest record that explicitly mentions Ennio Salieri and Frank Colletti. This is a massive narrative Easter egg that directly connects the events of this prequel to the future crime families that eventually take over Lost Heaven in the original Mafia game.

A Dangerous Retreat with Isabella
Badly hurt and needing to hide after the fight with the Police Chief, Enzo goes back to his apartment for safety. The calm of the safehouse is a welcome break after the tense jailbreak. But the chapter ends with a big story twist.
When Enzo gets home, he finds Isabella waiting for him. She has secretly left the Valle Dorata estate to spend the night with him, even though it’s risky. Their reunion makes their forbidden relationship official, and now Enzo faces even greater danger from Don Torrisi.
